Netherland Dwarf – Tan pattern

For more than 30 years, the Netherland Dwarf – Tan pattern has been standardized in Germany.  Without question, the tan-pattern dwarfs with their pretty colour are an asset to any show.

Netherland Dwarf - Beige

You can count with your two hands the number of German breeders of beige Netherland dwarfs. At national shows there are only a small number of exhibits and to see them at a local show is down to pure luck.

Flemish Giant

Flemish Giants first appeared in shows in Belgium around 1870. They were probably created by selectively breeding only the largest animals. Their colours used to be various shades of grey.

As I was saying, to breed the perfect pole some people put two rabbits together, cross their fingers and hope for the best. That works for some but not for me.
